These people have really gone off the deep end. Soda the new SIN Tax!
A Boston Globe story from a few days ago ( Viewed Here ) seems to back up the idea that taxing soda is a good thing.
What I don't understand the Pro-Choice party making it harder for the public do what they choose too. I just don't get it. Are these people nuts?
It is not just about the soda making people fat, it is not about the government wanting more money from you. It is about government control. Under normal circumstances with nothing else really going I think people would be more receptive to the idea but with other government control ideas out there like Health Care Reform and Cap and Trade can there be much doubt where this is going?
It is not the products that make you unhealthy its the over indulgence that is unhealthy. Just like alcohol, one or two drinks may actually be good for you but binge drinking can cause serious damage to you and the community.
If you want people to live healthy teach them how and let them decide if they want to or not.
